Favela Tour

Come with us on a day tour of a favela in Rio! This is a great way to introduce favela life and what it really is to the people who live there.

Most visitors to Rio de Janeiro have probably heard of or seen the movie “City of God”. Other than that, television almost always shows scenes from the Favelas that make them seem always dangerous places. To be honest, we feel that both the film and the television shows create an unfortunate stereotype of our wonderful city and Rio’s many favelas. To correct this stereotype and show people the real Rio de Janeiro, we developed a special favela tour. We will take you to the favela and show you how everyday life happens in this part of the city.
